PSG vs Arsenal Champions League Final Betting Preview

The biggest game in club football is finally here as Paris Saint-Germain take on Arsenal in the Champions League Final on Saturday evening.

The showpiece takes place at Puskás Aréna, with PSG looking to retain their European crown and Arsenal aiming to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in their history.

A Fascinating Tactical Battle

On paper, PSG deserve favouritism.

On paper, PSG appear to hold the edge. They possess one of the most dangerous attacks in Europe and arrive in Budapest boasting the second-best scoring record in this season's competition. The front three of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué have caused problems for virtually every defence they've faced.

PSG average 2.75 goals per game in this season's Champions League, the second-highest figure in the competition, with only Bayern Munich posting a better return.

However, if there's one team capable of slowing PSG down, it's Arsenal.

The Gunners boast the best defensive record in the competition, conceding just 0.43 goals per game. The next-best side on that list is Liverpool at 1.00 goals conceded per game, highlighting just how impressive Arsenal's defensive numbers have been.

That's why I don't necessarily expect a goal-fest.

Finals are often decided by fine margins and tactical discipline rather than outright attacking football. With so much at stake, I can see this being a cagey affair where both teams are reluctant to take unnecessary risks.

Champions League Final Odds

The bookmakers currently make PSG favourites:

  • PSG to win – 7/5

  • Draw – 23/10

  • Arsenal to win – 2/1

  • PSG to lift the trophy – 8/11

  • Arsenal to lift the trophy – 11/10

My BetBuilder – 17/10

I'm using bet365's 50% Super Winnings Boost on the following BetBuilder:

✅ PSG Most Shots On Target
✅ Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 1+ Shot On Target
✅ Myles Lewis-Skelly 1+ Foul Won
✅ Myles Lewis-Skelly 1+ Foul Committed

Odds: 17/10

Why I Like It

I expect PSG to dominate possession for long periods and take more risks in the final third than Arsenal. That should naturally create more shooting opportunities, making the PSG Most Shots On Target selection appealing.

Kvaratskhelia has been sensational since arriving in Paris and has averaged 4.19 shots per 90 minutes in the Champions League this season — the highest figure among PSG players. One effort on target looks very achievable if he starts.

The final two legs of the builder focus on Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Assuming he gets the nod, the young Arsenal midfielder should be heavily involved both in and out of possession. His Champions League numbers this season are excellent for these markets, averaging 2.06 fouls committed and 1.91 fouls won per 90 minutes.

He's exactly the type of player who gets through plenty of defensive work while also carrying the ball into dangerous areas and drawing contact.

Using bet365's 50% Super Winnings Boost, the return jumps from 17/10 to just over 5/2, making it an attractive angle for the final.

As always, I'll also have a full Europa League and Conference League Final recap coming after the game.
